Plessey Semiconductor Ltd

Corporate Membership @ Boringdon Park Golf Club

Golf Booking Rules and Instructions for use of the Booking Calendar

Tees can be reserved up to 1 Month in advance – the same as all other members.

The correct procedure for booking a tee time is to:-

1) access the booking system to ascertain availability

2) telephone Boringdon Park on 01752 339113 or Trethorne on 01566 86903 to reserve a tee time

(You are booking on the Plessey Corporate Cards, not CHIPS Golf Society)

3) then update the booking calendar.

The booking staff may ask for the names of all players, not just the person making the booking.

Each of the 4 cards may be used more than once per day – on the condition that there are only a maximum of 4 people playing golf at any time (regardless of which course). You should allow 4 hours 30 minutes between tee times.

When you arrive to play all golfers may be asked to sign in – and the staff may ascertain your identity. Both clubs will hold a list of members entitled to use the Corporate Membership (including photographs).

Guests (except those of Plessey Semiconductors Ltd) cannot use the Corporate Membership - your guests can play at “members’ guest rates” – payable to the Golf Club.

Any member who is already playing more than once in a week may be asked to give up a slot by another member who would otherwise be unable to play. There is no rule regarding this but common sense and fair play should prevail - please think of others - it may be you asking next time. This should particularly apply at the time of monthly competitions.

Plessey Semiconductors Ltd has priority use of the Corporate Membership. They will book tee times as normal but can, subject to giving 48 hours notice, request members “move aside” to allow them to book tee times that suit their guests. Should members be asked to change their booking this will always be communicated via a CHIPS Golf Society committee member and there may be assistance given with green fees if another suitable tee time cannot be found.

click on "create" (or "edit" next to the entry you wish to change)

In the 'calendar text' box - put (e.g.) x2 (where the '2' is the number of Corporate cards being used) and all names.

Please put names in the format of First name & Initial of surname (e.g. PhilO) and separate names with spaces - not commas.

Select start time (nearest time before) - there is no need to put a finish time.

Select appropriate 'Category' from the drop-down. This will only colour code the entry - it will not be displayed therefore in the 'popup text or URL link' box put the actual tee-off time and the course to be played.

This box is 'free text' so you can then put any additional information you want. For example you can put that it will be your competition round or if you are playing with others that are not using the corporate cards (club members perhaps).

At the main calendar screen you may need to click on 'Today' in the top menu bar to view the current week.

Please ensure that the information you put on the system is accurate.

Others may wish to join groups already booked - and this is to be encouraged.

Please do not book a 4 ball 'just in case'.

When you have finished

close the calendar or nobody else will be able to access the system.
