Every Swing is Different?
if ever you doubted it...................
and here are some more pictures from the 2010 Paignton Zoo Golf Day (not many and not brilliant quality but still, there were none of me!) :-
Committee Member Disqualified!!
For those of you who think I am too fussy - Kev Male was disqualified from the September Monthly Medal at Boringdon Park for not signing his scorecard - regardless of the fact that he had paid his £3.50 entry fee. Count yourselves lucky and fill in the cards correctly!!!

Paignton Zoo Charity Golf Day
This year's Paignton Zoo Golf Day was held at Wrangaton Golf Club on 18th September. We entered 2 teams of 2 - Paul Downer and Paul Chapman, Kev Male (late replacement for the injured John Powney) & Phil Osborne. It was a good day, we didn't win any of the competitions (although Kev had a 2 so has some balls to come) and Kev & Phil won raffle prizes. Hopefully next year can be even better.

May 2009 - Annual General Meeting
The 2009 AGM was held on 26th May. The attendance was disappointing - nobody outside the committee members turned up. However, a number of issues were debated and some decisions made. To find out what - see the minutes below:

May 2008 - Phil Osborne scores a "hole in one"
On Sunday 18th May I scored a hole in one at the 11th hole (Nicklaus Course).
It wasn't the best shot I have ever played - much better ones have not gone in - but it went down on the card as a "1".
I played an eight iron and was not happy because I caught it a bit "thin". To be honest I didn't think it would clear the water - but it was going straight and as soon as it landed on the green it looked like it was going to be very close. It bounced twice and rolled into the hole. At least I saw this one disappear - unlike my previous one 22 years ago.
Having teed off at 7.00am the bar wasn't open but I shall buy drinks for my playing partners - Kev Male, Colin Mitchell & Dave Horton - ASAP.
